How about some short story audio tapes to play during your Halloween party. Ray Bradbury stories are classics. Classics are good you are on the right track. Blackbeard, Alfred Hitchcock, etc.

Yes, I am celebrating Halloween and I have no plans on stopping the Halloween celebration. It’s my fave holiday :]

Me and my buddy are going into NYC for halloween and want to do costumes that relate to each other. We’ve come up with mario and luigi, bill and ted, and the blues brothers. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions that would be fun/humorous for a good night out. Thanks.

Churches are celebrating Halloween and Celebrating Obama as President. This is one of the craziest ideas ever. Yet we have people who are actually staying in these churches. Unbelievable!!!!

It is getting close to Halloween, stories have started to pull those things and started putting up for Christmas. Christmas political is being change to winter holiday. I remeber when we did things for all holidays in their months. Do you feel any lost because of this?
If I understand you correctly you probably meant to say: The stores are putting up the Christmas merch out when its not even Halloween yet, and to boot they now want to start referring to Christmas as winter holiday,…correct?

Yes, I agree that the stores Rush the seasons along for the sales! And all this "political correctness" is just getting way out of hand and the Holidays have suffered…it’s a real shame that kids can’t enjoy the Halloween we had as youngsters…and wow it wasn’t that long ago…first they started putting trick or treat earlier…so its done in day lite practically nowit was so much fun to go around at nite, and of course now you should get the candy e-x-rayed…I remember when I was very little girl that we knew all the neighbors and knew they were all ok/safe…now…shrug….its Sad…to a lot of kids its not even Halloween anymore,and in some places no trick or treat!…its Fall Holiday…now they want to do the same to Christmas…Winter Holiday, Glitter Season…ugh!Stupid!….Leave the Holidays alone….its a time for a much needed break, for some Fun ,or to be with family or loved ones…if it ain’t broke….lol…ok enough of my ranting….Happy…..ummmm….Holiday?….No… Happy Halloween!

I’m a tween so I need the stuff to actually FIT me. I’m trying to find a scary costume that’s more unique then the normal witch, sorcerer, etc..
It should not be an online store but an actually store where I go there and buy it myself. The prices should be reasonable enough.

I think it is fine. It’s not like we decorate the house and beleive in spirits or anything. We just go to people’s house to get candy. =D What are your opinions? Its an American culteral thing. Some people at my mesjiid don’t do it because they say it is haram. I don’t beleive anyone holy said anything about halloween. As long as I dress appropriotly, say bismillah, and make it back in time for prayers, it should be fine!
I don’t know the answer to this, since I’m not a muslim, but i wanted to say this is an interesting question. I’m a Christian, and growing up my family was also not allowed to celebrate Halloween. I wish people would give more in depth answers than "no, it’s haram" without an explanation. The Koran of course doesnt say "don’t celebrate Halloween", so what is it that people believe makes it haram? Not challenging the belief, it would just be interesting to know the answer. I’ve started to think about what I want to be for Halloween this year, and I want to be something that’s really funny. I’ve thought of a messed up Hannah Montana, Jesus, maybe even Waldo. But I Googled Halloween costumes and I’ve seen some really funny and creative ones. Does anyone have any ideas for someone on a tight budget? Or should I be one of the people I mentioned before?
My friend wanted to be something funny so she bought a pink feather boa, pink eyelashes, pink hair spray (washable) and wore jeans, a pink shirt, and pink sunglasses. People ask her what she was and she’d tickle them with the boa and say "tickled pink!" I loved it.
